who is the redeemer?
The only Redeemer is the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, in whom God became man and bore the penalty for sin himself.
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

The exclusive claim of the gospel is quite offensive to the modern world. At Rose City, we make it our aim that the gospel is the only offense - quite frankly because it is offensive enough. First off, to tell someone that they are inadequate, in any way, is extremely offensive to the modern ear - and the gospel tells us that we are more than just inadequate - we are sinners desperately in need of saving. Then, to top it all off, we tell them that there is only one way to be saved.
Christ’s exclusive claim to being the one and only way to reconciling with and knowing God, is the Gospel. To suggest otherwise is not the Good News of Christ at all. To give audience to the idea that there are many paths to God, like spokes to the hub of a wheel, is a false gospel - it is no gospel at all. The good news of Christ is that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one can come to the Father except through him. (John 14:6)
And that is the offensive Gospel that we preach. We need not be embarrassed by it. The modern world needs to hear it. It needs this offense.
