The Church as Christ Will Find Her (Luke 14:25-35)

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude 24-25)

He who is able to keep you from stumbling. He who is able to present you blameless before the presence of his glory…keep this good news in mind church as we explore the righteous deeds that God has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them…”

The Church as Christ Will Find Her (Matthew 25:31-46)

“What will Christ’s church look like when he returns? The Revelation of Jesus Christ describes the church figuratively as a bride, made ready and adorned for her husband, clothed in fine white linen, which ‘is the righteous deeds of the saints.’ As we explore this together, and as I attempt to stir you to greater love and good works, I want to point you to the gospel in this message right off the bat, for the good news of Advent is not only that Christ is returning in glory, but that his bride, the church, will be ready, for God himself has undertaken the task of preparing her.
